About Manifest

Ten thousand fittings in, and still answering our own phone.

Manifest Prosthetics, Orthotics & Bionics is a Hispanic woman-owned, veteran-owned, family-led clinic with locations in Tampa and Panama City. Co-founded by Paula Gomez and Gordon Maniere. Every device that leaves this lab was built for the person who walks in to pick it up.

Our story

It started with a simple, hard idea: devices should fit the person.

Most prosthetics and orthotics are designed for a chart, then made to a generic mold, then handed off to a clinic that doesn't make them. The result, sockets that pinch, braces that slide, components that fail, is the experience patients are quietly told to live with.

Manifest does the opposite. We design and fabricate every device in our own lab. We see every patient through their full fitting. We answer the phone when something is wrong, and we adjust the device for proper fit.

The work is intentional. Custom limbs aren't a product; they're a relationship. We've kept ours with more than 10,000 patients and counting.

In-house fabrication

Every cut, every layer, every fit, done by us.

Our lab is part of the clinic. The clinician who scans your residual limb is in the room with the technician who fabricates your socket. There's no shipping, no contractor handoff, no "we'll get back to you next month."

It also means we can adjust on the same visit. If something feels off in fitting, we modify it then and there, no separate appointment, no waiting for a remake.

Technology, used well

MEDIXA scanning & partner devices, fitted with judgment.

We use our MEDIXA scanner when it's the right tool for the fit, alongside traditional plaster casting when that better serves the patient. We also fit i-Limb, Össur, Ottobock, and other partner technologies, chosen for the patient, not the showroom.

The technology doesn't replace the clinical judgment. It makes the work faster and more accurate so we can spend more time on the fit itself.

Where to find us

Two Florida clinics. Patients from across the country.

Our two clinics are in Tampa (5109 N Armenia Ave) and Panama City (2609 W 23rd St), both in Florida. Our fabrication lab is in Tampa, where every device we make is designed and built by hand.

We see patients from across Florida and welcome destination fittings from neighboring states, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, coordinating travel-friendly visits when needed.

For most patients, the first step is a free consultation. Call us, tell us what you need, and we'll either schedule you in-clinic or talk through how a destination fitting would work.
